Percy Tau has received praise from the South African Football Association president Danny Jordaan after the striker was named the 2018/19 Proximus League Player of the Season award following his outstanding season with Belgium Second Division side Union Saint Gilloise.
Tau, who is on loan at the Belgium based club from Brighton and Hove Albion in England, has been impressive at Union scoring and creating goals which saw him get the player of the season accolade.

“Percy’s career has been growing in leaps and bounds in recent times and his two goals against Libya has set tongues wagging within the football fraternity,” Jordaan was quoted as saying by the Safa website.
“He has had an outstanding season with St Gilloise and is definitely headed for greater things. Without putting much pressure on the player, he will be one of the players to watch at the upcoming Afcon in Egypt.”
Tau left former club Mamelodi Sundowns last year after an impressive season, which saw him get the PSL player of the season award.
