Rusike set to make City debut against Wits

Zimbabwean international Matthew Rusike is expected to feature in Wednesday’s Nedbank Cup game against Bidvest Wits.

Rusike joined the Citizens on the last day of the January transfer window to boost the club’s striking department.

The former Chiefs striker, who made a shock return to the Absa Premiership, missed out on playing in the game against Mamelodi Sundowns last week Friday because City had not obtained his international clearance.

City’s media officer Julian Bailey confirmed to Phakaaathi that Rusike could face coach Gavin Hunt’s side in a Nedbank Cup clash at the Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday night.
