Royal Eagles player faces culpable homicide charge

Dlamini died in an accident on the N3 in KwaZulu-Natal on Sunday afternoon.

The player, who is known to Phakaaathi but cannot be named before he appears in court, was driving the car when he lost control, and it rolled.

Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane confirmed to Phakaaathi that a case of culpable homicide had been opened against the driver.

“Yes, the case was opened in Camperdown. The police will investigate it, and then send the docket to the prosecutor to make a decision on whether or not to prosecute,” Zwane said.

Eagles general manager James Dlamini was not available for comment.
