Marc van Heerden, George Lebese, Oscarine Masuluke and Percy Tau are the first recipients of the Absa Premiership Goal of the Month award in the exciting new monthly recognition awards for the best goal of the month.
Masuluke, the Baroka FC goalkeeper’s stunning bicycle kick strike on referees’ added-on time against Orlando Pirates at the Peter Mokaba Stadium picked up the prize for November and became the first outfield player to win the award since the inception of the awards.
Chippa United fullback, Van Heerden, saw his long range strike against Baroka FC awarded the Absa Premiership Goal of the Month for August-September.
Lebese’s brilliant solo effort run dribbling past the keeper and neatly finishing facing an open net against Ajax Cape Town in Durban picked up the October prize, while Mamelodi Sundowns’ Tau was the December winner for his well-taken diving header in his club’s win over Free State Stars at Loftus stadium.
Each of the monthly goals were chosen as the best from the online votes by football supporters and the general public, who picked their favourite goals through the Premier Soccer League website.
