PSL ‘Big Three’ in race for Jali’s signature

Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are said to be vying for Andile Jali's signature

The former Pirates star is said to be on his way out of Belgian side KV Oostende.

He scored the final goal in a 3-1 win over Genk last Wednesday to seal a berth in the Europa League.

After this win, there was talk of the Bafana Bafana midfielder staying on and playing against some top European such as Arsenal. However, his agent, Mike Makaab, is quoted in the media as confirming that they are looking for a move away from Oostende.

“We are looking at a move for him‚” Jali’s agent, Mike Makaab, tells Times Media Digital.

“We have been contacted, and there has been some interest from both Europe and South Africa.”

Phakaaathi has now learned through a source that Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are all vying for his signature.

“He’s a quality player, and there’s no doubt that the big teams will want to sign him if he’s available. His camp is still holding out for a European move, but if that doesn’t materialise, he will come back to South Africa,” said the source.

Jali joined Oostende from Orlando Pirates in January 2014.
