Platinum Stars have to be fearless – Dlamini
Platinum Stars assistant coach Milton Dlamini has challenged Dikwena players to stand up and be counted as the club look to rise from the bottom of the Absa Premiership.

Dikwena players were left deflated after an acrimonious 2-1 loss to Maritzburg United last week Friday. Dlamini says the technical team has been working on raising the spirits of the players.
“It was difficult to lose to Maritzburg in the last five minutes of the match. We had to assist the players to get their morale back. I think we are big enough to handle this pressure. I was telling the players that it’s time that real men raise their hands. It’s either you swim or sink. You have to raise your hands. There’s no one who is going to do us favours. We have to do it ourselves for ourselves. In 2018 we have dominated almost all the games we have played but it’s the lack of concentration towards the end that always comes back to bite us,” said Dlamini, who will lead the team in the absence of suspended coach Roger De Sa.
Dlamini says Dikwena will be looking to eliminate the errors when they host Free State Stars at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace this coming Saturday. Dlamini says Roger De Sa’s men will go on all-out attack in order to amass maximum points.
“We are going to impose our game plan on them. We are not going to be defensive. We have to attack now. We have no time to defend. We need three points and not one. Hopefully this time we will concentrate and not concede,” said Dlamini, who added they have been working hard on goalscoring.
“Second round we have more possible goal scorers on the field. There are more players that can score. It’s just a matter of time before they score goals they just need chances. Your mental strength is more important now at this time. We are trying on our part to assist them but we expect senior players to play a role in helping youngsters to cope because it’s not a normal situation if you are a young players. We have to score goals and be fearless. We have to go to them and get goals. Once we have the goals we have can talk about defending.”
