Pitso not bothered by Ndoro saga

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is not bothered by Ajax Cape Town striker Tendai Ndoro case, saying his team must focus on winning the league title on the pitch.

The jury is still out on the Zimbabwean international as Fifa Players’ Status Committee has referred the case concerning Ndoro’s eligibility to play for Ajax back to South African football authorities.

The question around Ndoro’s eligibility arose after the 32-year-old featured for three clubs in one season.

Should the final ruling be against Ndoro, Orlando Pirates could be awarded three points as Ndoro featured for Ajax during the Urban Warriors’ 3-0 win over Bucs on January 31.

“Why should I worry if Pirates want to win the other way,” said Mosimane.

“If they want to win it from the courts, they will get. How will I influence that? Imagine worrying about that and then you forget about your games. You have to do what you have to do and focus on the game,” he added.

Mosimane continued: “Some say Ndoro is supposed to play, some say no he is not supposed to play… I don’t want to go much into that. Sundowns must focus on winning on the pitch because when you win on the pitch you don’t have someone coming later to say you won or you did not.”
