Victorious PSL-winning coach Pitso Mosimane had to deal with news that his wife and her child were hijacked earlier this month, according to Sunday Sun.
The Sundowns coach, whose team won the league yesterday, was told that his wife Moira survived the hijacking on the same Tuesday that Sundowns thrashed Golden Arrows at Loftus Versfeld in a round of 16 Nedbank Cup clash.
He rushed home to be with her.
The police confirmed to the paper that the hijacking took place outside Moira Mosimane’s home in Honeydew, Johannesburg, on 17 April.
They said that two suspects were later arrested and the family’s black Range Rover was recovered. The investigation is reportedly continuing against the men.
Sundowns spokesman Thulani Thuso said “Mrs Mosimane is still traumatised by the incident. You must understand she was with a child in the car. At this moment, the family hopes justice will prevail.”
