Pitso: Mariveni FC a closed book
Pitso Mosimane has admitted he knows very little about their Nedbank Cup last-32 opponents Mariveni United FC as they gear up to host the Limpopo side at the Lucas Moripe Stadium this evening.

Kick-off is 7.30pm.
The match will bring back memories for Sundowns fans of when they faced another Safa league side Powerlines FC back in March 2012 in Kimberley, winning by an amazing 24-0. Sundowns will again be expected to cruise past Mariveni, a fourth-tier side from Giyani.
“It is the blindest I have ever been. I tried to see what they do, but there has been rain and their games have been called off,” said Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane.
“But it is okay, we should not have an excuse because sometimes we play in the Caf Champions League against people who we do not really know and where we have never got the footage. Imagine Sundowns complaining about not watching a team playing in the ABC Motsepe League, I mean, really.
“We are going to make a whole lot of changes, we are going to turn the team around. But you must understand that some players want to play. They say: “coach, I have been in the stands, I have been on the bench, and I have come back from injury. Please, I need to get my confidence.” I think Leonardo Castro would like to play and score to break the ice,” said Mosimane.
Castro has yet to score this season and missed a good chance in Friday’s night’s league loss at Cape Town City.
Jingles must also keep in mind Sundowns’ 2017 Caf Champions League campaign, which starts on Friday.
