Reds general manager George Amoako said the club tried to ask the striker to stay but Yacouba wants to leave
Yacouba has attracted interest from Orlando Pirates, Al Ahly and Zesco United.
Kotoko have reportedly rejected $100,000 (over R1.3 million) from Pirates for the striker’s services.
“Let’s forget about Songne Yacouba now. His services are no more needed at our club. We are ready to sell him to any club at a good price. We now have better players to replace him for our next season’s campaign” Amoako told Oyerepa FM.
“We need to move forward as a club and not to depend on a single player. Some of our players will be leaving and Yacouba is part of them.”
