This was confirmed by Pirates coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojovic confirmed on Thursday during the club’s press-conference ahead of their opening League match against Chippa United at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
Daniels was brought into the club last year to come and help the ailing goalkeeping department at the team, but the Nigerian never got a chance to play for Bucs.
“Daniel is not with us, we have three goalkeepers at the moment. Wayne Sandilands, Jackson Mabokgwane, and Siyabonga Mpontshane. Those are three goalkeepers that I have absolute trust, confidence and belief that our area of goalkeeping will be in safe hands,” said the Pirates mentor.
With the club having conceded 40 goals in the League, Micho says he is looking for many clean sheets.
“We want many clean sheets; we don’t want to be the team that is conceding unacceptably.”
