Pirates part ways with technical staff member

Orlando Pirates have confirmed the departure of club’s head of strength and conditioning Andre Volsteedt on Wednesday.

Volsteedt, who has been with the team for three years, will be working with former South African senior rugby coach Henyeke Meyer at Stade Francais in France.

“I would like to thank the Orlando Pirates family, the staff and especially the Chairman for the support and encouragement over the past two and a half seasons at the club,” Volsteedt was quoted on the clubs website.

This won’t be the first Volsteedt will be working with Meyer, with the pair having worked together at South African rugby side Blue Bulls.

The club went on to thank Volsteedt for his services and wished him well on his new journey.
