Pirates mum on defender’s future

Orlando Pirates have not responded to Ayanda Gcaba request to leave the club on loan to get game time, according to the player’s agent.


The defender has lost his place in the starting line-up since coach Milutin Sredojevic took over.

“Gcaba doesn’t get game time,” Gcaba’s agent Mike Makaab told Isolezwe.

“We submitted a request to have him loaned out. After that we asked that he be released from his contract with the club.

“Pirates hasn’t given us an answer, we hope that they answer as soon.

“We will wait for the club, we will not rush them. We need to remember that there is a contract with the club and we need to respect that.”
