Orlando Pirates midfielder Thembinkosi Lorch says he was not surprised when Bucs administrative manager Floyd Mbele told him that he has received a Bafana Bafana call-up as one of the replacements for the injured pair of Thapelo Morena and Vincent Pule.
Lorch told the Safa website: “Mr Mbele called me on Tuesday morning and said that I would not be training with the team this week as coach (Stuart) Baxter wanted me in the Bafana Bafana camp. I just dropped everything and made my way there (to the Bafana camp).”

“I was not surprised by the call-up though, in fact, I was expecting it. I knew that it would come one day and my instincts told me it was around the corner. I have been working really hard and I am glad my work has been rewarded.”
Bafana are set to take on Seychelles in an Afcon qualifier match at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
The teams will meet again in the second leg match in Seychelles on October 16.
