Following complaints from supporters about Pirates’ green kit, one fan decided to put forward the design he would like to see the Buccaneers wearing on the field next season.
The green jersey was introduced last season and was met with a lot of criticism. Many blamed club chairman Irvin Khoza for giving the “ugly” jersey the green light, saying the colour was a radical departure from the traditional colours of the club.
The fan, Grant Mboma Sikhakhane, posted images of the “new” jersey on social media. Although it looks similar to the one Kaizer Chiefs used last season, it is still one many would prefer to see on the field.
