This is according to Orlando Pirates administrative officer Floyd Mbele.
Pirates’ decision to withdraw the former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper from Saturday’s clash against his former club caused a bit of a stare considering that Pirates had earlier declared that he was fit to play.
“Look, withdrawing Khuzwayo from the starting line-up is just a precaution,” Mbele told Goal.
“The club will make an announcement regarding this tomorrow [Thursday],” he added.
Phakaaathi earlier reported that Khuzwayo might be released by Pirates owing to his long term injury.
A source told this website that Khuzwayo was advised by the Pirates management to take insurance package and retire, but the goalkeeper still wants to continue playing.
