Pirates defender Ndengane doubtful for City clash

Alfred Ndengane may miss Orlando Pirates encounter against Cape Town City should he fail to pass a late fitness on Friday, head coach Micho Sredojevic has revealed.

According to Sredojevic, the former Bloemfontein Celtic defender picked up an injury during the team’s friendly match ahead of their clash with Cape City.

“We played a friendly match and Alfred Ndengane got a knock – he has to pass a late fitness test tomorrow.

Pirates have already confirmed that goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane is out for the remained of the season, but despite that, Sredojevic says everyone is fit and ready for the game against City.

Otherwise, the rest of the players are ready and fully concentrated and fully aware of what the match on Saturday means to us,” said Sredojevic.
