With several Absa Premiership teams enquiring about him, Phiri says he and Manyama will discuss the Bafana Bafana player’s future when he returns to the country at the end of May.
“Lebo will come back before the end of the month and we will have a meeting to discuss the future,” Phiri told The Sowetan.
“We are like a team. I am like a father to him. I am hoping he goes back again, but nowadays we have a trend of players who come back home after a year or two that side [abroad]. I am trying to convince him to stay.”
Phiri also confirmed that several Absa Premiership teams have enquired about Manyama.
“They [clubs] have been calling, but there is nothing I can say before he comes back. We will look at the offers and take it from there.
“He has proven himself in the PSL, so he must do it overseas to show his ambition,” commented Phiri.
