Parker: There’s more to come from Páez

Kaizer Chiefs striker Bernard Parker believes Gustavo Páez has a lot to offer the team.

The Venezuelan striker, whose scoring credentials were questioned when he joined Chiefs in January, has scored four goals in 11 appearances for Amakhosi.

And Parker believes there’s more to come from the 27-year-old striker.

“As the most senior player in our attacking line, I always remind the guys to stay united as striking partners. With Páez coming in, he has to understand us well and so far he is doing it well. With my experience and his pace I’m able to spot him easily,” Parker told the club’s website.

“If you recall the days when I played with Knowledge Musona, Lehlohonolo Majoro and Kingston Nkhatha, it is the same setup and so far things seem to be coming right for us.”

Páez, who has scored three goals in two matches for Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup, will be looking to add to his tally when Amakhosi take on SuperSport United on Saturday.
