Parker hails Chiefs spirit

Amakhosi have not lost a match since a 3-1 defeat at Chippa United on December 3, and are on a roll that has taken them to within a point of the top of the league.

Chiefs have also reached the quarterfinals of the Nedbank Cup, where they face SuperSport United on Saturday at FNB Stadium.

“We are in a very good state, togetherness has been the key for us, the mood in the camp has been unbelievable,” said Parker on Thursday.

“In training we are all looking sharp and are all sharing positive thoughts. It is looking good at Naturena and for us to stay up there I believe it is for us to be more mentally prepared, because physically and tactically, in all aspects we are looking good. If we keep injecting more positivity and camaraderie, we can win every game that comes our way.

“If we can give ten percent more in all aspects of our game, especially the mental side, I think we can get both (the league and cup).”
