Orlando Stadium to host MTN8 final

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced that the Orlando Stadium will host the 2019/20 MTN8 final between Highlands Park and SuperSport United.

The final will be played on Saturday, October 5 at 6pm.

This will be the first domestic cup final to be hosted at the Orlando Stadium in five years.

Highlands Park, who are making their first-ever appearance in the MTN8 final, will play SuperSport United – a side that has tasted MTN8 glory before. SuperSport United are appearing in the MTN8 final for a record-breaking third successive season.

The Lions of the North booked the passage after overcoming Orlando Pirates and Polokwane City in the quarterfinals and semi-finals respectively.

SuperSport United progressed to the final after defeating cross-town rivals Mamelodi Sundowns in a two-legged semi-final. Matsatsantsa a Pitori had gone past Bidvest Wits at the quarterfinal stage earlier in the season.
