Onyango set to return against Wydad

Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango is set to return to the starting line-up when the Brazilians face Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca in the first leg of the Caf Champions League semi-finals on Friday.

Onyango missed Sundowns’ 3-2 win over Chippa United on Tuesday as he was recovering from an injury.

Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has now confirmed that his number one shot stopper is fit to play against Wydad.

Mosimane hopes Onyango’s experience will help them get a positive result against Wydad.

“You know what happens in Wydad, you have seen games away. We need Denis in those games, and we want to make sure Denis is available,” Mosimane said. “He could have played against Chippa United but we didn’t want to risk him.”
