Mamelodi Sundowns have announced that goalkeeper Denis Onyango has suffered a shoulder injury and will miss tonight’s league tie against Black Leopards at Loftus Versfeld.
“The Ugandan shot-stopper has a shoulder strain he picked up in Sundowns’ 3-1 win over Asec Mimosas in the CAF Champions League. Onyango joins another goalkeeper, Thela Ngobeni, who sustained a groin injury. Mosa Lebusa is also on the list of casualties. The defender has a groin strain,” read a statement on the club’s website.
“Despite the trio’s absence, Sundowns have enough depth in their squad to put out a competitive starting XI against Lidoda Duvha in their catch-up programme. Sundowns are six points behind first-placed Bidvest Wits but have three games in hand.”
