Becker confirmed to iDiski Times on Sunday that he has indeed vacated his position in a brief statement on Sunday.

“I resigned with effect [on] 30 November 2021,” said Becker as quoted by the iDiski Times.

Becker’s announcement comes a day after Kaizer Chiefs failed to honour their fixture against Cape Town City on Saturday.

Amakhosi were scheduled to host City at FNB Stadium but opted not to honour the fixture after the PSL refused to grant them postponement.

Chiefs had asked the PSL to postpone their fixtures for December after 31 of their members contracted the coronavirus.
