He says being surrounded by quality players like Khama Billiat, Lazarous Kambole, Bernard Parker and Lebogang Manyama has made it easier to adapt to his new environment.
“It is a quality league with a lot of quality players. I am enjoying it. I enjoy playing with them. We have just played four games and it is getting better with each game.
“We are already used to each other but of course it is a new environment for me coming from another continent but it is getting better and better.
“I am enjoying every moment with them, on and off the field. All of them are talented players, Lebogang, Parker. Kambole and everybody. I am here for just two months and we have played four games but it is getting better and better with each game,” said Nurkovic.

He has also got the monkey off his back by scoring his first goal with an incredible strike against SuperSport United that has been nominated for goal of the month for August.
“I am always optimistic and accept the things for what they are. It is the first time that I played in front of such a wonderful support and I am enjoying every game.
“The goals will come I am just focusing on doing my best and doing what the coach is asking of me. And as long as I am creating for teammates and playing good all is well.
“Obviously as a striker my job is to score goals and I will be happy to score as many as I can. We will see but I am trying my best, I know how to do it. But it doesn’t matter who scores as long as we have three points because we put the team first.”
Nurkovic will meanwhile hope to add to his tally on Saturday when Amakhosi host Polokwane City at FNB Stadium in a match billed for a 6pm kick-off.
