Notoane needs to pick NFD players – Sono
Jomo Sono says newly-appointed under-23 coach David Notoane should select players from the National First Division if he wants to be successful in his job.

The Jomo Cosmos owner and coach believes teams in the NFD have good players under the age of 23 because of the League rule, which forces each team to have three Under-23 players in the starting XI.
“Think the standard has improved tremendously, there is no gap between us and the premier league to be honest,” said Sono.
“We went out to beat Baroka with an NFD team. I tried calling David Notoane to say please look at the children of Israel which is the Under-23 of the NFD. They have taken this Under-23 and put it on our throats, now he must come and have look at all the team in the NFD because we were told to play with the Under-23 and our players will be selected. If I was him and I want to be famous and not listen to agents, I would say MDC under-23 versus NFD under-23, if he does that he will go further but if he doesn’t the under-23 squad will be in trouble.”
The South African football legend also applauded the appointment of Notoane as SA Under-23 coach.
