Nonkonyana set to sue Sundowns coach Mosimane – report
Chief Mvelo Nonkonyana is reportedly going to sue Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane over his comments about his sacking from the Bafana Bafana coaching job.

This comes after Mosimane was quoted in the media as saying that it was sad to be fired by a taxi owner [then-Safa technical committee chairman Fanyana Sibanyoni]‚ a priest [then-CEO Robin Petersen] and by a traditional chief [then-vice president Chief Mwelo Nonkonyana].
Nonkonyana, who is now the Eastern Cape House of Traditional Leaders chairperson, says Mosimane’s comments are unacceptable and denied being part of the committee that sacked the Sundowns coach.
“It’s an insult and defamatory to me. No individual has the right to call me names. I respect Pitso,” Nonkonyana told the Sunday World.
“Pitso should know better that no individual in bigger than the game. I don’t deserve that kind of insinuation. He has no right to refer to me in that manner,” he added.
“I believe he took advantage of the dispute I have with Safa. Remember, I was unfairly suspended after questioning the validity of the Safa elections and I was also released from my duties with football association.
“The matter is still pending with the high court in Johannesburg. I want Mosimane to apologise. I know nothing about his sacking. My lawyers will write him a letter and he will have to pay and apologise. I can’t leave the matter lying (down). I’ve done a lot for football in this country for my name and brand to be tarnished,” concluded Nonkonyana.
