Nomvethe set to retire in June – report

Veteran striker Siyabonga “Bhele” Nomvethe is set to retire at the end of the season and take up a different role at the club, according to reports.

SunSport reports that Nomvethe will become an ambassador at the club after hanging up his boots at the end of 2018/19 season.

“We will give Bhele an ambassador role at the end of season. We thought we could use his services better when the club do road shows, activations or going to different schools to conduct motivational speeches because he has seen it all in football,” the unnamed AmaZulu official was quoted as saying by SunSport.

The 41-year-old Nomvether has score 123 career goals in the PSL and has played for several clubs in Italy Sweden and Denmark.

He has also played for both Soweto giants, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, in long football career.
