Nomvethe not ready to hang up boots
His contract may be coming to an end at the end of this month, but the end of the road is nowhere near for veteran striker Siyabonga Nomvethe, he has said.

The seasoned attacker has told Phakaaathi that he is set to sit with AmaZulu to discuss his future soon. At age 40, the former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates forward says he would like to prolong his career beyond a few more years.
“I would like to extend my contract with AmaZulu, but I can’t put my finger on it in terms of years but I can feel that my legs can still carry me,” he said.
“I am still yet to meet with my manager and we will see what comes out of that meeting,” he added.
In the past season, “Bhele”, as he is otherwise known, featured about 20 times for Usuthu and is confident that Cavin Johnson was pleased with his performance, amid reports of him not seeing eye-to-eye with the AmaZulu coach.
“The games that I played for the team last season, I am sure that they are satisfied with what I have done for them. At this stage, I can say that they still do need my services but we still need to sit down and deliberate.”
But what will be his next move if AmaZulu show him the door?
“I don’t look at those things because I cannot predict the future, as long as the club are happy with what I have done for them because that was the job I was employed for, what happens afterwards is out of my control,” he replied.
Nomvethe says his role extends beyond being just a striker, alluding that he has adopted the role of being a teacher and role model to youngsters playing around him.
“I encourage the youngsters because they have to work harder. There is a lot that I teach them. I always tell them that extra work is the key and they should never stop going the extra mile.”
