The 21-year-old striker is said to have attracted interest from Ajax Cape Town.
Mamelodi Sundowns are also believed to be monitoring the player, with reports suggesting that former Downs midfielder Esrom Nyandoro has made enquiries about Dube on behalf of the Brazilians.
“There are scouts that have been following Highlanders’ matches from the 3-0 loss to Black Rhinos in Harare and two matches against Hwange and How Mine. But we have not received any official communication from the South African side (Ajax Cape Town),” Highlanders CEO, Nhlanhla Dube, is quoted as saying by NewsDay.
The Urban Warriors are believed to be the front runners to signing the player as Dube is expected to stay in South Africa after the Cosafa Cup to attend trials.
