On-loan from Mamelodi Sundowns, George Lebese is a superstar by most accounts, although he could not break into Pitso Mosimane’s star-studded team at Chloorkop.
The 30-year-old has been told that he will not walk into Tembo’s team and as he is expected to fight for his place. Lebese has already made his Matsatsantsa debut when he came on in an Absa Premiership tie against Golden Arrows, where he provided an assist to Tebogo Mokoena’s marvelous goal.
“You are never guaranteed playing time wherever you go, you need to work for that and I think he has been doing that,” said Tembo.
“I can see the hunger and desire to play and I am happy because I know he is a quality player who can bring a different dimension to our attacking structure,” said Tembo, who commended the former Kaizer Chiefs winger for deciding to leave Sundowns, even though it is on a temporary basis.
Tembo continued: “It takes a lot for him to decide to want to leave a team like Sundowns to say I want to play football and that is very key. He has come in and he has jelled with the team and he looks happy, he looks motivated.”
