No De Sa for Bafana – Safa

The South African Football Association have insisted that Roger De Sa is not being considered for a coaching position with Bafana Bafana.

De Sa’s resignation as Maritzburg United coach on Thursday sparked rumours that he could be about to join the Bafana coaching set-up, with Safa still yet to name a new head coach.

“It has nothing to do with us,” said Safa Head of Communications Dominic Chimhavi on Thursday, however, when asked about the matter.

Chimhavi added that Safa expect to name their new head coach on “Wednesday or Thursday” next week.

“We already got the coach last week,” he added.

Ruud Krol, Stuart Baxter, Carlos Queiroz and Herve Renard have been among the names linked to the vacant post.
