Nigeria fined R423k for crowd disorder

Fifa has fined Nigeria $31 000 (about R423k) for their unruly fans during the World Cup qualifier against Cameroon in Uyo.


The Super Eagles handed the reigning Africa Cup on Nations champions 4-0 in this encounter.

Meanwhile, Germany were also ordered to pay $33,000  (about R451k) after their fans chanted Nazi slogans in a World Cup qualifier match.

Czech Republic were also fined for crowd disorder.

Argentina, Panama and Hungary were also charged by Fifa for fans chanting gay slurs.

Iran was sanctioned by Fifa for what the world football governing body described as “pre-match ceremony with religious chants” by fans in a game against Syria.
