New date for Leopards, Wits clash

The Premier Soccer League has announced a new date for the rescheduled Nedbank Cup last 16 tie between Bidvest Wits and Black Leopards.


The game was called off on Wednesday night due to flooding at the Thohoyandou Stadium.

The match was initially rescheduled for Saturday, but it turned out that the venue was not available to host the match because of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Limpopo rally.

It will now be played on Monday at 6pm at the Thohoyandou Stadium.

“The Premier Soccer League [PSL] has rescheduled the Nedbank Cup round of 16 fixture between Black Leopards and Bidvest Wits to Monday‚ 18 February 2019‚” the PSL said in a statement. “The fixture will be played at the same venue‚ Thohoyandou Stadium. Kick-off time is at 18h00 [6pm]. The rescheduled fixture will be played in accordance to Rule 14.20 and 14.21 of the NSL Handbook.”
