The announcement was made by the PSL chairman Irvin Khoza during a press conference in Parktown on Tuesday morning.
Khoza also announced that the final would be held on Saturday, May 18.
“Bloemfontein was the preferred venue, but because of the of unforeseen circumstances, the venue is not available,” said Khoza.
Khoza also revealed that this year’s PSL awards will be hosted at Durban’s ICC on May 19, the day after the Ke Yona final.
Finalists of the tournament are yet to be decided, with quarterfinals yet to be played.
The first semifinals will see Golden Arrows taking on TS Galaxy at the Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on April 20, while later on Chippa United host Kaizer Chiefs at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium later on the day.
