The Spaniards were 2-0 up by half-time before adding a third one in the second stanza in contrast to Sibusiso Vilakazi’s consolation goal.
The first two goals, however, were a result of uncharacteristic mistakes committed by Bangaly Soumahoro and Hlompho Kekana.
“Mistakes are part of football. When you make mistakes you get punished and that’s part of football,” said Mosimane after the game.

“I am not happy with the goals, we gave them two goals really. Kekana gave one goal and Bangaly gave away one there.
“I don’t think the defence was bad. We gave away two goals. I don’t know what was going to happen had we held on a little bit longer,” he added.
Downs did have their fair share of chances with Percy Tau facing Marc-Andre Ter Stegen on a one-on-one situation, but failed to get the better of the German international.
“What we need to talk about more is the finishing in the country. It could be better and that’s why I always talk about Percy Tau to say he is such a good football player, playing with the right attitude and mentality and we were playing off the shoulders of the two centre backs and we could get behind. But they are experienced, they saw it once and dealt with it,” said the former Bafana Bafana coach.
