Musonda remains modest after first top flight hat-trick
Black Leopards striker Mwape Musonda scored his top flight hat-trick when he helped Lidoda Duvha stage a 3-2 comeback against Chippa United last weekend.

The Chilli Boys had gone 2-0 up at half-time but Musonda showed his brilliance and single-handedly won his side all three points.
Musonda has downplayed his goal-scoring prowess to the rhetorical “the team comes first”.
“What was important is that the team got the three points,” he said.

“We have been letting ourselves down in the games that we have played, we were not putting the ball in the back of the net and it was important that even after going two goals down we try and get the maximum points.
“I got the hat-trick but I am quite happy that I was able to help the team collect maximum points today,” Musonda added.
The Zimbabwean international leads the race for the Lesley Manyathela Golden Boot award with 12 goals from 22 games. Musonda is confident that he can rattle the net a few more times before the Absa Premiership season ends.
“12 goals are something that I am happy about, but I think I can do better. We have got eight games to play and I just have to keep pushing and score as many goals as I can,” said Musonda.
