MTN8 final tickets sold out,ticket holders urged to arrive early

Tickets for the MTN8 final between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns have been sold out, the Premier Soccer League (PSL)announced on Friday.

The mouthwatering clash is set to take place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on 7 October.

“Tickets for the 2023/24 MTN8 final between Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns are officially SOLD OUT – just 18 hours after tickets were made available to the public,” read a statement from the PSL.

“Match tickets went on sale at 15h00 on Thursday, 28 September 2023 and were sold out by 09h00 on Friday, 29 September 2023.”

“The MTN8 final will be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 07 October 2023 (18h00). Gates will open at 14h00 and ticket holders are requested to arrive early to ensure smooth entry.”

Furthermore, the League announced that there will be huge security and police presence at the stadium, in order to keep things going smooth and to look out for those who sell fake tickets.

“The PSL is working closely with the South African Police Service and several other safety and security role players to ensure a safe and secure event. As part of the stringent security measures around the stadium, people engaging in illegal behaviour such as ticket peddling will face immediate arrest. There will be no tickets sold at the stadium,” the statement continued.

Pirates reached the final through the away goal rule after their two-legged semifinal clash ended in a 2-2 draw.

Sundowns edged rivals Kaizer Chiefs 3-2 on aggregate in the semis to reach the final.
