This comes after a section of Chiefs supporters booed striker Bernard Parker during Amakhosi’s 2-0 win over AmaZulu at FNB Stadium on Saturday evening.
“Our defenders scored the goals today I’m very happy. One more message to our supporters: they are brilliant, we love them but they must stop booing one of us, we don’t come here to play around,” Mphahlele told SuperSport after winning the Man of the Match award.
“We come here to play for them, we know that they spend a lot of money to come here. So we plea they must just stick by us, the mistakes are there but we’ll give 100 percent in every game.
“The supporters have been brilliant, this is for them you know. We play for them every game we want to make them happy. I’m happy for the team after a slow start we’ve picked ourselves up. We just have to be consistent and be level headed. Keep winning, if we keep winning the confidence goes up and the spirit in the team becomes a happy place.”
