Kaizer Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung says national U-20 midfielder Wiseman Meyiwa was promoted to the senior team before the 2016/2017 season started.
Reports have emerged that Chiefs were looking to tie down the midfielder after his fine display at the under-20 Africa Cup of Nations for Amajita.
“It’s the first time I hear about this,” Motaung tells KickOff.com
“According to my knowledge the player was promoted long before the season started. That’s why I’m saying I don’t know anything about us planning to promote him or offering him contracts because that was done a long time ago.”
