Chiefs coach Steve Komphela has been complaining about the club’s failure to convert chances they create, and Motaung believes Paez could be the answer to this problem.
“Apart from the fact that the technical team was impressed, I was also impressed. I saw him play in our of the two friendlies for us, and he looks like he has the qualities and the technique,” said Motaung.
“He has the skills to play as a striker. The little I saw of him, I was impressed. He is a player that has a good football brain, and he makes good runs. Given the chance, I think, he will not disappoint us.”
Paez will be hoping to open his account for Chiefs when they take on Maritzburg United at Harry Gwala Stadium on Saturday.
The game is set to kick off at 8.15pm.
