The Brazilians are winning their games in hand which is what Mosimane says gives the African champions an advantage over the other teams competing for the title.
Sundowns is two points behind log table leaders SuperSport United with three games in hand to cover the deficit.
Despite some of their regular starters Anthony Laffor, Khama Billiat, Anele Ngcongca and Denis Onyango ruled out with injury, Sundowns are picking up the points they need.
“We are just taking one game at a time and we’re not looking up the log,” Mosimane said.
“If we carry on in that manner‚ we’re en route for the same number of points we had last season. I don’t know whether we’ll get there because of injuries and stuff.”
