Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has revealed that during the transfer window he will try and bring players who have the desire to win trophies at the club and one player he would love to have is Cape Town City captain Lebogang Manyama.

The Downs coach spoke of the history between him and Manyama, whereby he believed that the midfielder deserves to play in the Premier Soccer League while he was still playing amateur football and went on to put a good word for him at Ajax Cape Town.
“Maybe he never thought he would play in the PSL and I told him that he will play in the PSL. I personally spoke with Ajax Cape Town. I used to watch him play in the SAB League scoring goals and he is here winning all these trophies. I am humbled that we can talk about his history. I know him and his family well, it would be nice to have him,” Mosimane said at a press conference in Parktown on Wednesday.
“But he belongs to another club and you know what happens when Sundowns want a player, the player will cost R10 million, so that is why we were not busy during the last transfer window. It took us two years to get Sibusiso Vilakazi. But again, it is not up to me, both clubs will have to sit down and speak. But Eric Tinkler will not be happy to lose his most important player and John Comitis will never accept to lose a player who won him the Telkom Knockout Cup.”
Manyama has been in scintillating form for the Cape Town based-outfit, with 12 goals to his name this season.
The midfielder was voted as the PSL Player of the Month (February) for the third time this season, while Mosimane got the Coach of the Month accolade for the fifth time.
