Mosimane apologises to Chief Nonkonyana

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane says he was emotional when he accused Chief Mvelo Nonkonyana of being part of the committee that fired him as the Bafana Bafana coach.

As reported earlier, Nonkonyana was offended by Mosimane’s comments and threated to sue him. But Mosimane has now apologised.

“I need to apologise to Chief Nonkonyana, I was a bit emotional on the story,” said Mosimane.

“He was not directly part of it even though he was somewhere as part of the hierarchy, but he was not directly involved and I would really apologise to him.

“He has done very well for football in South Africa and I understand he doesn’t feel good about what I said.

“I don’t have an ego to say sorry when I have to say it, it’s not a problem. So I would like to apologise to him while we are here that he was not part of the whole thing.”
