Morton reacts to PSL spitting charge

AmaZulu midfielder Michael Morton is dismayed by the Premier Soccer League’s decision to charge him.

This comes after the PSL charged Morton with misconduct for allegedly offending the dignity of Bidvest Wits player Gabadinho Mhango, following a further alleged spitting incident at the Princess Magogo Stadium on September 20.

It’s not clear as to where the charge originated from, as Morton was sent off for shoving Mhango to the ground after the Wits striker allegedly spat on him.

Mhango remained in the game, but has since been charged by the PSL with misconduct for allegedly offending Morton’s dignity.

Morton took to Twitter to express his views about the PSL charge.

“Did I retaliate in an overly aggressive way to an incident? 100%. Did I react by ‘spitting back’? Absolutely NOT (disgraced by the accusation),” tweeted Morton.
