Morton keen to stay with AmaZulu

On-loan AmaZulu FC midfielder Michael Morton says he would love to sign a permanent contract with the KwaZulu-Natal side.

Morton joined Usuthu on a season-long deal from SuperSport United at the start of the 2017/18 campaign.

But with his deal with SuperSport set to expire at the end of the campaign, Morton says he is open to extending his stay at Usuthu.

“I am free at the end of the season. So there is no matter of AmaZulu speaking to SuperSport,” Morton told the club’s website.

“It’s just sort of me sorting things out with AmaZulu. I hope I will get to some agreement and some sort of conclusion very soon.

“I am very happy here. AmaZulu are a very nice club. My family is really happy here in Durban.

“I am happy to play for Cavin [Johnson]. I am enjoying my football, I am happy.”

As reported by Phakaaathi earlier, Usuthu coach Cavin Johnson is keen to keep the 28-year-old midfielder.

As it stands now, Morton is likely to sign a new contract with AmaZulu as both parties seem happy to continue their working relationship.
