With his previous contract ending in June, there was speculation that Molangoane could be on his way out of Amakhosi.
But Chiefs have now announced that Molangoane has agreed to a one year contract with the option to extend for an additional year.
“Breaking News! Joseph Molangoane has extended his stay at Kaizer Chiefs by signing a 1 year contract extension with a 1 year option,” read a tweet from Chiefs.
Molangoane joined Chiefs from Chippa United in December 2016, but the 31-year-old’s career at Amakhosi has been hampered by injuries.
He has just recovered from a career-ending injury he suffered in the first half on the 2018/19 season, but Chiefs have shown faith in him by extending his stay in Naturena.
