Mkhize extends Cape Town City stay

Cape Town City have extended the contract of captain Thamsanqa Mkhize.

The 30-year-old has signed a new three-year-contract with the Mother City club.

“I’m grateful to Cape Town City for giving me this opportunity,” said Mkhize after signing the new deal. “When I first arrived here I felt like I was at home.”

Mkhize has been a key player for the Citizens  last season and his good displays for the Benni McCarthy led side earned his a place in the Bafana Bafana squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

He played in all five matches for Bafana Bafana at the African tournament in Egypt.
