Dikwena confirmed Mkhabela’s signing on their official Twitter account.
The 28-year-old midfielder joined Chiefs in June last year, but was loaned to Stars in January this year after failing to make a single appearance for Amakhosi.
Upon his return to Chiefs during the preseason, Mkhabela was told that he was surplus to the requirements in Naturena.
Dikwena moved quickly to secure the midfielder to a permanent deal, which is believed to be a two-year contract with an option to renew for a further year.
He becomes the fourth signing made by Stars this transfer period after Dikwena added Lehlogonolo Masalesa, Sibusiso Mthethwa and Maboke Matlakala to their books.
