Middendorp asks national team coaches to communicate better
Kaizer Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp has asked national team coaches Stuart Baxter to communicate with clubs before calling-up players.

This comes after Chiefs defender Reeve Frosler was called and then dropped from the Under-23 squad due to injury.
Middendorp pleaded with national team coaches to improve the communication with club for the national team, so not to call up injured players.
“Reeve Frosler was a bit disturbed. He was invited to camp, but I would have loved to see him here (at Chiefs) working on his intensity. But in the end he was sent home and we could have discussed it before when the invitation was done,” said Middendorp.
“I have no communication (from Safa), it’s not about talking late (late call-up), early or whatever, I just get papers with information that players are invited and that’s it. The decision is done by the head coach. It’s quiet interesting, I mean Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr is in direct contact, but here there is a different approach.”
